ANDREA DÍAZ REBOREDO

Compañía Andrea Díaz Reboredo takes its name from its director to distinguish itself, within her artistic practice, as the most personal strand of her stage work, focused on visual and object theatre.
Andrea Díaz is a stage director and visual artist. Her background in Fine Arts evolved towards a scenic language, leading her into the world of theatre, where she works as a stage director, set designer, and performer in her own productions. Her work explores the image as a container of knowledge and social memory to create new dialogues between body, objects, space, and audience.
She has worked in Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Colombia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Cuba.
In 2016, she received the award for Best Written and Directed Work at the Telpa·Daugavpils International Performance Festival (Latvia) with the piece Superbaby of Daugavpils. In 2019, she won the award for Best Creation at the Titeremurcia International Festival with her piece M.A.R., which also earned her the awards for Best Work and Best Dramaturgy at the Lleida Puppet Fair (2021) and at the Festival of Ovar (Portugal, 2021).
She is a member of the Casa·Teatro collective (Girona).
She currently lives between Madrid and Catalonia, from where she directs the company.
